JSC «Kataisk Pump Plant» carried out major repairs of the testing laboratory premises, for subsequent accreditation, in accordance with the requirements of Rosatom. In early August, the plant successfully passed accreditation.
The laboratory was fully modernized, the electrical equipment, measurement systems and test stands were also updated, which are being audited and checked by the Rosatom Commission.
Accreditation of a testing laboratory will help save costs that were previously spent on testing pumps from contractors, as well as on transporting the tested equipment to the test plant. In addition, having received permission from the Rosatom state Corporation to accredit pumps in the third class, the company can now test pumps from other manufacturers, making a profit from this.
Currently, on the basis of KPP, it is possible to test pump products with the following parameters:
— flow from 1.5 to 400 m3 / h,
— head from 12.5 to 128 m,
— power from 0.6 to 63kW,
— overall dimensions LxWxH 2780x765x1140 mm
— permissible cavitation margin from 3 to 6 m,
— rotation speed 900-3500 rpm.
It is worth mentioning that today the Kataisk Pump Plant is the only accredited testing center in the nuclear industry in the Asian part of Russia.
